Error code 022-2402
This is a guide on how to fix the 022-2402 error code on Nintendo 3DS when linking a PNID.
First of all, if you experience this error code, check the friends list application for an error code.
Friends List doesn't give an error code
If the Friends List application doesn't give you an error code, reopen System Settings. You'll need to go into Other Settings and change the language on your system.
Hang on, before you resolve this, the Pretendo team are looking for dumps specifically when you don't get an error code in friends list. Follow the instructions to start getting HTTP packets captured and reproduce the steps you took to get error code 022-2402. When you finished capturing the dump, send the necessary files privately using the /upload-network-dump http command on the Pretendo Discord server or send it privately to @PN_Jon on the forum (please only send it to this account).

Once you've changed the language, attempt to link your PNID again. It should link successfully this time. If you still have the same error code, ask for support on the forum and if you have a different error code, we'd recommend searching it up.
If your PNID linked successfully, you can now revert back to English (or the language that you were using beforehand).
Friends List gives an error code
If your Friends List gives you an error code, there could be a variety of fixes. These are usually the most common error codes that appear:
- 002-0101 - likely an issue with your SecureInfo_A file but can occasionally be a Pretendo outage. If servers aren't experiencing issues, ask for help in Nintendo Homebrew.
- 002-0121 - first two Luma3DS settings not enabled or (occasionally) issue with LocalFriendCodeSeed_B.
- 002-0150 - issue with LocalFriendCodeSeed_B.
Once you've fixed the error code that appears in the Friends List, you shouldn't get error code 022-2402 when linking a PNID.
