No. There is no known SSL exploit on the Nintendo 3DS/2DS at this time and there likely will not be one found in the future (although it is possible, don't get your hopes up).
Everything will be completely free eventually, however, so if you have no rush, you can always wait until it's out of testing and available to the public servers :)

All games and services that used solely Nintendo Network will eventually be supported. Support for games that didn't solely use Nintendo Network will not be provided until further notice.
No games or services will ever be given estimated release dates unless they are actively being developed/tested and are preparing to be released to either the testers or the public.

No. It is highly recommended that your mod your console for the best experience while using Pretendo, and as a bonus you get to use all the other cool things a modded Wii U has to offer!
First of all, no, Pretendo does not plan to support the Nintendo Switch or any other console at this time. Second of all, Nintendo Switch Online services likely will not shut down for a very long time.
No. If it never had support for any online features whatsoever, then it is out of scope for Pretendo.

Please remember that Pretendo is a free service and a passion project, not a company. Jon, the owner of Pretendo, is the only full-time developer. Other developers make contributions out of their own free time and of their own will. Donating isn't purchasing a service; it is showing your support for the project. Perks and benefits are to encourage people to donate and reward existing donators. Pretendo is one of the most difficult and ambitious modding projects ever undertaken and was originally intended to only be a Super Mario Maker (Wii U) and Miiverse replacement.
